Hey, i have a sic pack, but it is covered by a layer of fat. I can feel my hard abs under the fat. I was just wondering how can i lose the stomach fat and reveal my six pack. What should i eat? What exercises should i do? And how long do you think it will take to get rid of the stomach fat?

Food:

Stay away from white grains like pasta, bread, flour, and rice. When eating grains go for whole wheat, it’s a lot healthier and has fewer calories. When eating meat, always go for lean or extra lean if available. Also stay away from junk food – of course! But, don’t demonize it, because if you are the type who loves their chocolate bars and you completely cut yourself off, you’ll only want them more. Cut down you junk intake to once a week, and on the day you have that chocolate bar make a mental note to get an extra 15 minutes of exercise that day.

Make sure you drink lots of water; it helps your metabolism and hydrates your body (obviously). If you don’t drink enough water your body will think its going to be starved, and will go into “survival mode” – this’ll cause your body to retain all the water you do drink and all the fat it can get because its preparing to be starved. Also, drinking green tea every morning increases your daily metabolism by 17%. You can take vitamin b complex to increase your metabolism as well. Try eating 5 small meals a day to keep your metabolism working, and never skip breakfast! Skipping breakfast will slow your metabolism for the day!

When you snack only snack on fruits and veggies – they’re nutritious and delicious! And low in calories. My doctor recommended eating a slice of cheese with a piece of fruit as a snack so your also getting protein with your fruit. Try to stop eating after 7 pm, and only drink tea, milk, or water after that. This’ll prevent you from going to bed with food in your stomach that won’t be burned while you’re sleeping; it’ll just get turned into fat that you don’t want.

Exercise:

For exercise, make sure you get AT LEAST 30 minutes a day, but I’d recommend 60 minutes. Do cardio exercise every day as well as strength exercises like push ups and crunches. Combining the two exercises will help to prevent having saggy skin once you’ve lost weight. Swimming can be a good strength exercise if you like going to the pool or lake – it tones everything at once and its fun! While you’re doing cardio (like jogging or running) make a routine that’ll challenge you but not over work you. Try running for 5 minutes then walking for 5. If that gets too easy try running for 6 walking for 4 etc.

Any tips how to lose belly fat fast and easy?

Any tips and exact instructions of how to lose belly fat effectively? Any proven method of what it tkes and how long?
I mean I know most of you will say working out, but how much do i really need to work out and when will I have the actual result?
I’m not fat, I’m quiet slim but just never could get rid of the belly fat!
I have tried working out and it never seemd to help so i just give up all the time!

You have to be determined. Throw all of your junk food out. Here are a few tips
1. Drink a ton of water.
2. Eat small meals 5-6 times a day
3. Don’t eat three hours before you go to bed.
4. Count your calories.
5. Chew gum
6. Drink green tea.
If you drink ice cold water, it takes your body calories to rase yur core temperature back up.

Cardio everyday for 45 min. And make sure you really sweat, and then after crunches sit ups, planks any ab exercise that you know. Drink water throughout the day, and no sugar chips, cookies or soda,even friend, just whole healthy foods.

Simple. Just exercise more and eat less (and healthier). Try to only eat when you’re hungry and eat smaller portions (like instead of eating a whole bag of chips, eat a small bowl and savor it). Don’t eat just because you’re bored and don’t eat in front of the computer or TV. Make healthier meals with lots vegetables and full grains. Drink skim milk at dinner but drink water the rest of the day. You can still enjoy a few cookies or a bowl of ice cream, just don’t overdo it.

For exercise, make it a goal to do something physical every day. You could take the dog for a walk, go biking, go for a jog, swim a few laps, do some hard yard work, go for a hike, do some sit ups and pushups, try yoga, or watch a workout video! Don’t make up complicated routines or anything; you’re less likely to keep up. It’s okay if you miss a day or two; just make sure you start back up again the next day.

Also, don’t forget to take a multivitamin and get enough sleep! Good luck, you can do it! 🙂

How can I lose belly fat fast?

I am 20 years old 5’10 and 165 pounds. I need to know ways to lose belly fat. My arms and legs are already built but I want solid toned out 6-pack abs. People can barely see my abs. I heard that running on a treadmill is good for this? If that method is right then how long should I be running and how fast on a treadmill?? What are some good methods for this??

Do it for an hour. Spend 15 mins. On walking/warming up, then speed up a little after that. Also, speed down when there is only about 10-15 mins left and just walk the time left. 🙂 You should also do crunches, sit-ups, P90X (very effective) for 90 days, and watch your diet. 😀

The best way to get rid of fat is a routine combining cardio and muscle. Cardio to burn fat off, and building muscle to keep it off.

When you wake up in the morning, go running. Its really convenient that you have a hill, do sprints going up the hill and jog back down, and keep doing that for 15-30 minutes a day. If you keep at it, thats enough cardio to start cutting down fat.

At home, start a push-up, sit-up, curls, and dumbbell row routine, so as to target all the major muscle groups (Legs from running, chest from push-ups, core from sit-ups/crunches, and back from the rows, and arms from curls/push-ups/rows)
-Do as many push-ups as you can in the morning, and keep track, try to do more every day. At night, do as many as you can again before you shower or go to sleep, even if you’re sore, keep at it.
-Same as push-ups try to do around 100 crunches or situps when you wake up, and then another 100 when you go to sleep or take a shower at night
-Do 3×10 curls per hand with the maximum weight you can when you wake up, and while you’re in front of the TV or have nothing else to do
-Do 3×10 rows per arm whenever you’re doing your curls (look up dumbbell row on google if you don’t know how to do it) Make sure you keep good form!

Lastly, try to eat healthy, with no more than 2000 calories and no less than 1500 calories a day. (Diet soda is not healthy, even though it contains no calories). Drink lots of cold water, best before meals.

If you follow this regimen strictly, you’ll be well on your way to losing all your belly fat. It’s often hardest when you just start, but once you get into a habit of doing it, it becomes second nature!

First you need to understand that you need to burn the fat over your abdominal muscles to see your toned, sexy core. After that it depends on exactly what you’re eating (you should try to eat mostly lean protein and veggies if you’re trying to tone up) and how often (you should try to eat ~5-6 times/day to speed up your metabolism. Now to answer your question:
To get abs you need a proper balance of good eating, resistance and cardio excercise, and sometimes supplements. You need to add resistance excercise as that is the best way to reduce fat (muscle burns fat/calories) and change body shape.
Different people hold fat in different places and that last little bit of fat is usually the hardest to lose. There isn’t any definitive way to ‘spot’ reduce body fat but here are some things I have found useful (to get a lean flat stomach and get ‘abs’):
– Do sprint repeats. It may be still warm enough to do these outside so that’s good (if not, find an indoor track). Jog to warm up (~1/2 mile). Then do 8 sets of repeat sprints (start with ~100m and gradually move up to ~200m as you get in better shape). Basically you sprint all out, then slow jog (really slow) back. Repeat 8 times. The first one you want to go only ~3/4 speed since your body will still be warming up. Make sure you stretch afterwards as your hamstrings will be sore the next day (especially after the first time).
– Resistance training: go for more reps (less weight), try drop sets, try circuit training. All of these are useful for getting more lean(and as a result will burn fat off your abs). Remember the more muscle you build, the more fat you’ll burn (and you won’t be big and bulky either).
– Ab ball: do a lot of exercises using one of those ab balls…they work your core in every exercise. You can also do actual ab target exercises (twists, crunches, etc.). Get a trainer at your gym to show you some. Or you can get the CoreSecrets (ball/video) for ~$10-$20 online (just google it)
– Oblique exercises (twisting). Do a lot of these using the ab ball: sit on the ball hold a 10 lb weight and walk your feet forward. ‘Lay down’ and with the weigh above you twist to one side-up-pause-twist to the other side. Ensure you’re using your obliques to do the work.
– Lower abs. Do leg lifts (hold weights in your feet, or lay on ball and do them). Leg raises (where you hang in the air and rotate your knees to your chest). Get with a trainer at a gym to show you some new funky ab exercises
– Improve your nutrition to mostly eat low fat protein (chicken, fish, lean turkey, etc.) and veggies (i.e. Broccoli). Mix a little fruit in there for some sweetness. You can also buy whey protein and make whey protein smoothies (2 scoops protein, ice, skim milk – blend – little peanut butter, ripe banana, more ice – blend again: tastes great). Cut out junk food (especially soda, anything loaded with high fructose corn syrup, all sweets, etc.)
– Start taking a thermogenic fat burner (will burn fat faster when your body temp rises – i.e. Working out), ripped fuel, or hydroxycut hardcore before your workouts. This will help provide energy for workouts during your cutting ‘diet’. These also help you burn fat and are ‘good’ supplements to use
Work hard, have fun…you should have those tone, sexy abs in ~2 months.

What is the best diet program for men and women out there?

I’m talking about a program like the 90 day workout, things like that. There are a lot of them on the market today. I was wondering which one actually works, for both men and women. (it can be separate programs). I want to get one for my fiance when my taxes get here and one for myself after I have my baby in March. This is one that I found for both men and women. How to Get A Six Pack And Lose Belly Fat Fast I’m not sure if this or any program works simply because I have not tried any. But me exercising alone doesn’t leave me with the results I want. Sure I lose a ton of weight but I want to be trim all over. I want to have endurance. Please let me know of something that is able to work all the muscles, and not create any bulges.

Man and women should follow the same rules for diet and exercise. Don’t worry about special programs- it can be much simpler than that. The programs usually aren’t sustainable and the diet industry doesn’t want them to be. They make money out of you having to come back and try something else, right? 😉

Losing 1-2lbs a week is the best way to go. This way, you are losing mostly fat, rather than water and muscle. Faster weight loss is not better, nor is it sustainable.

Diet should be what you look at first for weight loss- this is what will enable you to drop fat. Try a balanced diet made up of mostly natural whole foods, with high protein, moderate carbs and moderate fats.

You need to know how many calories you burn- you can use an online calculator for a rough estimate. Aim for 10-20% calories fewer than you burn daily (too large a deficit will be counterproductive in the longer term).

Don’t worry about complicated diets or cutting things out. You can enjoy anything in moderation, as long as the majority of your diet is healthy.

Base your meals around:

Lean protein (e.g. Chicken, tuna, lean beef, fat-free cottage cheese, egg whites)
Wholegrains (e.g. Wholewheat bread, oats, bran cereals, rice)
Healthy fats (e.g. Nuts, seeds, olive oil, avocado, salmon, whole eggs, flaxseed)
Fruit and veg

And drink lots of water.

Second in importance to diet, is heavy resistance training- this is what will allow you to preserve muscle so you look ‘toned’ and defined once you’ve dropped the fat (rather than just a smaller version of how you look now, with the same bits you’re unhappy with). More muscle also means a higher metabolism, so you definitely want to hold on to, or increase the muscle base you have, for fat loss.

You need to work ALL your major muscle groups- you can’t spot reduce.

Try three full body workouts a week, or an upper/lower split four times a week to start off with. Focus on compound exercises such as squats, deadlifts, pull ups, rows, bench press and overhead press.

Then you can look at extras like cardio to help create a calorie deficit. But cardio is by far the least important of these three, and you can lose fat effectively without it.

Make sure you’re getting at least one rest day a week with no exercise at all.

Focus on losing inches/dress sizes rather than actual scale weight- it’s how slim you look that matters, not how little you weigh.

I am 16 years old and have gained a lot of weight recently- I am talking like 25 pounds in two months. I am 5’7 and 175 lbs now. I now how a “hard” belly and a fat woman ass and very big thighs. I used to be able to fit in 30×31 jeans and I now barely fit in 34 sized jeans. Please tell me an ultimate goal for my weight loss. What are some healthy breakfasts that I can eat before school and some good lunches? What is a good calorie number for the day? What is a good workout plan? Can I have a flat belly by June?

I am 18 years old, and in almost the exact situation. I am 5’6″ tall, and 179.4 lbs. A little over 4 weeks ago I was 186.6 lbs. I lost 7.2 pounds in a little over a month. My ultimate weight loss goal is 135 lbs. Maybe you should aim for 140 lbs.

Healthy breakfast: I love oatmeal with fresh bananas or blueberries mixed in. Or, if you are in a rush, grab a protein bar and a piece of fruit or cheese (or both if you’re hungry).

Lunches: I like to pack my lunch. I eat a lot of tuna on potato rolls (w/o mayo or any condiment ( mustard if you’d like). I also love sandwiches. Meat, cheese, light mayo on WHOLE WHEAT bread is a great lunch. I always have 3 extras (at least) with my lunch. I normally have chips and some sort of fruit, and a dessert of some kind.

For most of my food, I track my calories on an online journal. Caloriecount.about.com is my favorite site for that.

Working out: Just do cardio (anything that gets your heart rate up and you sweating) for 30 minutes each day. I love this one program “Couch to 5k” Its a great program to start running with. It seems difficult at first, but you really get into it.

Yes, I think you could have a flat belly by June if you really try.

My friends love me fat, both men and women. Where is the motivation to ever lose the weight I gained?

I used to be 117 and 5′ 7″ and now at 32 somehow and by some means I gained 40 pounds in the last 2 years.

All my girlfriends long ago gained to the mid 150s up to 225 and just love that I pretty much lost my thin figure so fast.

I used to teach aerobics but I quit it and went to college. Ironic, huh?

Men simply pay far more attention to me by far now that I have a butt and a slightly jiggly belly.

What they dont know is I keep gaining and I have no control over it. I have gotten pretty lazy and enjoy this new read and study lifestyle. Plus I have made a hobby of cooking for myself all the foods I denied myself for years.

Being pudgy is completely new to me since I have never been one ounce overweight my whole life till 2 years ago.

It was hard and took a long time for me to gain my first few pounds. I was one of those that could eat anything I wanted and not gain. But, once I started to gain, its started to come easily. Does anyone think I might stop gaining?
I have to admit I do like gaining weight in an odd way. Its just so amazing watching my body change.

Of course you gained weight!
You’ve gone from denying yourself certain foods to eating them when you want. In other words, you eat normally now.
You’ve quit getting as much exercise. If you were teaching aerobics you were working out multiple times a week perhaps even 3 or more hours every day.
You are now over 30. You are getting older and weight gain is easier the older you get.

Chances are you won’t gain much more weight as bodies have a certain range they stay within. In one study most people were not able to gain more than about 40 lbs, even if they tried to gain more their bodies just stop.

But in any event at 5’7″ and 157 [ BMI 24.3 in the normal range]you are still not overweight and men now give you more attention because you are no longer underweight [BMI of 18.3 underweight 5’7″ 117]. Men as a general rule like women to have curves.

If you like your body, your friends like your body and you are happy then don’t worry. Though it probably wouldn’t hurt to get some exercise every day, you’ll feel better for that even if you don’t lose an ounce.
